Politicians vying for positions in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been advised to adhere to the tenets of the party constitution and see whether they were qualified before canvassing.
Mr. Emmanuel Chegeweh, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kassena-Nankana in the Upper East Region stated this in an interview with the GNA in Navrongo at the weekend.
He urged politicians in the party to stop fighting among themselves and rather map out strategies and mobilize more resources to enable the party to re-capture power in the forthcoming election.
“The 2008 elections would not be an easy one, we need therefore to move from door to door and sacrifice to win more souls to the party to enable NPP to retain power to continue with its good works”, he stressed.
Mr. Chegeweh indicated that the NPP Government had laid down a solid foundation and improved the living standards of Ghanaians.
