The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has dismissed 16 recruits for presenting either altered or forged educational certificates for last year's GAF recruitment exercise.
Five out of the 16 were dismissed on Dececber 13, while the remaining 11 were dismissed on December 20, which was the graduation day.
A press statement issued |Friday by GAF and signed by Lieutenant Colonel M'bawine Atintande, Assistant Director of Public Relations, warned all potential recruits that anyone found to have altered or presented fake certificates would be arrested and handed over to the police for prosecution.
It said extensive investigations were con¬ducted into documents presented by applicants to ensure that they are genuine.
The release named those involved as Amoah Richard Kwame, Steven Kingsley Asare, Harry Rexford Ayitey, Boakye Anane Ofosu Stephen, Robert Katako and Mahama-Yahaya Badigieda.
Others are Mochiah Francis, George Nunoo Kofi, Yeboah Richmond, Edward Benny, Evans Tsiagbey and Seth Delali Zeinu.
The rest are Zottorgboh Dennis, George K. Kpodo, Opoku Boateng Evans and Mensah K. Godknows.
