The Judicial Service has moved to clarify why Chief Justice, Justice Anin Yeboah, called for the docket on the case involving the Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo-Maafo and Auditor General, Daniel Domelovo.

The story was published on Myjoyonline.com on Monday, February 24, 2020, after the judge hearing the case, Doreen Boakye Agyei, made the disclosure.

The Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Maafo is in court asking that Mr Domelovo be punished for failing to respond to his case challenging a $1 million surcharge on him.

The Auditor General’s office had insisted that Yaw Osafo Maafo wrongfully caused $1 million to be paid a UK-based consultancy firm, Kroll and Associates, to undertake investigations on behalf of the government.

However, explaining why the case docket was requested by the Chief Justice in a statement issued released Wednesday, the Judicial Secretary, Cynthia Addo, said the case docket was requested by the Chief Justice to correct key filing errors.
