Management of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has temporarily suspended all Hall and Students Representative Council (SRC) week celebrations following the acts of violence and vandalism that occurred on Saturday.
A statement signed by the Registrar, John Kofi Nyan noted that investigations are still ongoing to identify perpetrators of the violence and advised students to desist from any vicious act.
“The University community is hereby informed that there will be the presence of police on campus to protect lives and properties,” the statement read.
During the early hours of Saturday, February 22, a fight broke out between students from Atlanta (ATL) Hall and Oguaa Hall, during a hall week celebration at the UCC campus which resulted in the damage of properties.
