Lucozade Ghana has organised a clean-up exercise at the Osu Beach dubbed the Lucozade’s Love Date with Earth.
The clean-up campaign is aimed at addressing the environmental pollution caused by the indiscriminate disposal of plastic waste.
Lucozade Ghana intends to keep this as a sustainable activity to safeguard the cleanliness of our communities.
The Country Manager of Lucozade Ghana, Mensah Seneadza said, “We are going to promote a clean environment by partnering with organisations that are already into sanitation, cleanliness and waste management”.
In addition, he said, “the theme was chosen to show love and appreciation for Mother Earth for loving and giving mankind all that we enjoy, indicating the reciprocal love we have for Mother Earth.”
Coliba Recycling Company, a leading Ghanaian plastic waste recycling company, was on hand as partners to assist with the recycling of the plastic waste collected.
The Assembly Member for Osu Alata Electoral Area, Hubert Kpakpo Garshong, applauded Lucozade Ghana for embarking on such massive cleanup exercise.
Stressing that, the move would go a long way to contribute to the realisation of making Accra a cleaner city.
The clean-up exercise was well attended by enthusiastic members of staff of Lucozade Ghana and residents of Osu Alata.
