The Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI) says it concurs with government’s Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) transformation agenda.
A statement issued by the Association on Friday indicated that the action is in the interest of Ghana and its economic status, therefore, it must be implemented within the shortest possible time.
“The proposed realignment of TVIs to the Ministry of Education and the establishment of a TVET Service are issues which our past leaders have fought for several years.
“As such, we subscribe to the TVET transformation agenda of government. It must be done and it must be done now,” the press stated.
President Nana Akufo-Addo in December 2019 cut the sod for an upgrading and modernisation project of the TVET system to commence at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) premises.
