A close friend of late musician Kofi Boakye Yiadom popularly known as Kofi B has given a blow by blow account of his final moments on earth.
Colleague musician Kofi Nti said he was asleep in his hotel room at Abease Dominase in the Central region when he got a distress call from his friend about 2:00 am on Sunday.
Kofi B was demanding his car key from him due to an unusual heartbeat he was experiencing.
“Kofi B was screaming at me because he wanted to rush to the hospital but he passed out when I returned with the key. I quickly rushed him to the hospital where he began vomiting,” he disclosed.
The distraught musician said the ‘Mombrowa’ hitmaker was restless and struggling to breathe.
“Kofi B was restless so I had to hold him so that the doctors can work on him when he finally gave up the ghost,” he added.
Kofi Nti said he knew his friend had complained to him about his heart condition but never knew it could kill him.
“Kofi B always had medicines in his car due to his condition so I’m very surprised at his sudden demise. May his soul rest in peace” he said.
