Mr. Peter Mensah, Deputy Ashanti Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has called on the youth to ensure that they were not used by politicians to achieve their selfish interests before, during and after the general election.
He also appealed to politicians and party supporters to desist from the use of derogatory statements against their opponents since such these could provoke conflicts.
Mr. Mensah said this at a meeting jointly organized by the NCCE and the Ghana National Association of Garages at Suame in Kumasi to educate the artisans on their civic responsibilities and obligations.
He advised the artisans to adhere strictly to the use of safety gear to prevent industrial accidents and also be honest in dealing with their clients.
