Rapper Lasmid Kela has been crowned the winner of the 2019 edition of the MTN Hitmaker, a music competition that seeks to unearth the next superstar.
After weeks of thrilling and spectacular performances from the various contestants, Lasmid beat Kofi Pages, Alibaba and Nessa to win the ultimate prize.
The rapper went home with GH¢120,000 recording contract deal and a black Anibisa headset, provided by MTN Pulse.
The first runner-up, Kofi Pages, walked home with a consolation prize of GH¢20,000. Alibaba and Nessa were the second and third runners-up respectively.
The event came off at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair La, Accra on Saturday, December 14. Past winners and contestants Kidi, Krymi, Mr Drew and OV made their way to the venue to perform for patrons. Rapper, Medikal was also at the final event to give patrons a night to remember.
