Accra Brewery Limited (ABL) donated food, clothes, toys, shoes, personal hygiene items and its non-alcoholic malt beverage, to the Village of Hope Orphanage at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central region.
During the presentation of these items, Adwoa Aaba Arthur, ABL’s Legal & Corporate Affairs Director, mentioned that the donation is meant to put smiles on the face of these orphans ahead of the Christmas Celebrations.
She said, “As a proud part of Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABInBev), the world’s largest brewer, this donation fulfils our Dream of bringing people together for a better world”.
She explained that as a company that is committed to supporting the first UN Sustainable Development Goal of eradicating poverty, “This donation, is part of our investment in a Growing World, where everyone has the opportunity to improve their livelihood”.

ABL volunteers interacted with the children at the orphanage and served them with freshly baked meat pies and Beta Malt drinks.
Ms Arthur mentioned that volunteering is one of ABL’s core corporate values and an important part of their contribution to communities.
She said, “By volunteering our time and resources, our colleagues are able to play a direct role in bringing to life our shared Dream”.
Kwaku Sarkodie, the Managing Director of the Village of Hope Orphanage accepted the donation and expressed his gratitude to the Management and staff of ABL.
He said, “ABL’s kind gesture and goodwill will ensure that our children enjoy a special Christmas”.
In addition to ABL’s dream of bringing people together for a better world, the company also invests in a Cleaner World where natural resources are shared and preserved for the future; and in a Healthier World where every experience with beer is positive.
