Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says he requested for a loan move from South African side Orlando Pirates in January.
The former Ashanti Gold goalkeeper had to wait just last Saturday to make his debut for Pirates in the PSL since moving to South Africa six months ago.
Fatau who was linked back to his former club Ashanti Gold in January in an interview with Joy sports revealed that his loan request was turned down.
“Big players in the world when they are not playing they ask for loan because they want playing time, I went to the coach and management and told them I wanted to go for loan but they told me they needed me and that they know why they brought me to the team so I should be patient and that they will give me the opportunity so I’m still waiting,” said Dauda
“We have about four months to the World Cup who knows I may go or stay but I believe in life you fight to go up and not come down so when things go right and if we go to the World Cup and I make it surely I will move one step.”
