The Ghana Rice Inter-Professional Body (GRIB) supported by the John A. Kufuor Foundation, is inviting the general public to participate in the 2019 Ghana Rice Festival to be held at the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra on Friday, November 8, 2019.
The festival aims to celebrate Ghana’s burgeoning local rice industry that has seen a massive turn around over the last few years and continues to grow stronger by the day. It will also be an occasion to showcase the various ‘high quality produced in Ghana’ rice that has better taste than a lot of the imported varieties and has been approved by regulators.
Through the work of our initiative; “the Public-Private Partnership for Competitive and Inclusive Rice Value Chain Development: Planting for Food and Jobs – Rice chapter,” the rice sector continues to grow stronger every day.
The initiative which is co implemented by MOFA, Intervalle, Hopeline Institute, Sparx farms and Volta City Farms has chalked some success since commencing in November 2018 which is making the rice industry better.
CALLIGHANA is also supporting the initiative.
