Movie director and entertainment critic, Ola Michaels, has apologised to Wendy Shay over comments attributed to him suggesting the musician looked ugly.
This followed a statement the former made during an interview concerning Wendy Shay’s looks.
During an interview with host Jay Foley on Hitz Fm’s Daybreak Hitz, the female artiste was asked how she deals with cyberbullying during which she cited an example of a comment passed by Ola Michaels.
“Someone once passed a comment saying that I look ugly when I wake up in the morning and I am surprised because this person doesn’t even know me well and hasn’t seen me wake up before,” a bitter Wendy narrated.
Fortunately, Ola who was on the show as a panelist, established that he made such a comment but according to him, he was misquoted and he clarified himself.
“All I said was, individuals with oily faces like myself must quickly wipe up when they sweat and you [Wendy Shay] was an example of such a person. All I said was that there should be extra make-up artistes with you who will take care of your face that was what I said,” Ola clarified.
After a few reluctances on Wendy’s part, she finally accepted the apology.
