Prophet Prince Baidoo, Founder and General Overseer of Saviour of God Ministries in Tema has called on religious leaders to refrain from involving themselves in polities and also prophesying during elections and other competitive events in the country.
These acts he noted do not bring the manifestation of God to bear and also lead to various kinds of divisions and hatred among the competitors and their supporters. He said most often when these prophesies did not work, people lose faith in God. He therefore charged religious leaders to give messages that would bring people to reality and closer to God.
Speaking on the theme, "New Beginning" to round off a 31-day Crusade to usher Christians into the New Year, Prophet Baidoo noted that it is best for Christians to have hope in Christ this New Year.
He pointed out further that the only way Christians would realize a new beginning in their lives was when they take wise decisions and have faith in all what they do.
Additionally, Prophet Baidoo described as lazy, people who spent all their day praying without putting their prayers to test by acting on it.
He said that the only way one can see his prayers fulfilled was when he worked towards it without sitting down to wait for miracles.
"The New Year has so many trials and tribulations, but it is only the wise that can survive to the end. Prayers without action cannot bring us any gain; therefore we should all work hard and support it with prayers."
Prophet Baidoo called for prayers for the leaders and people of the country and also for the up coming African Cup of Nations to be held in the country later this month.
He urged Ghanaians to refrain from immoral activities which would not only lead to the spread of various incurable diseases and deaths but also bringing the name of the country to disrepute. He also called for unity irrespective of one's political affiliation to ensure peaceful elections.
