Defender John Paintsil is backing home-based national team at the African Nations Championship to win Saturday's final and offers to reward them.
Paintsil visited the team on Thursday at the team's hotel in Cape Town ahead of Saturday's final against Libya.
"The final is the biggest and most important match and from what I have seen, I believe they will win and become champions," he told www.ghanafa.org.
"They have to remain determined and continue to push till the final whistle."
The Ghana international who now plays for Cape Town side Santos in the South African Division One, says his visit was to motivate his compatriots ahead of the final.
Paintsil also communicated to the team, a message from the president of his club, who he indicated has promised a reward for the players should they lift the trophy.
"I have been watching them since the competition begun and I must say that they have been really impressive," Paintsil said.
"They were based in far away Bloemfontein and I was always praying for them to make it to the finals and come to Cape Town. I was so happy they made it and it is important for me to visit them and encourage the team ahead of the finals."
He paid glowing tributes to the team for their resilience and determination.
"Their determination and resilience is incredible, especially in the match against Nigeria. They showed real determination even with a man down and battled till they achieved the victory. That was a true Ghanaian spirit; we never give up," he added.
"Watching, it has not been an easy tournament but the technical team and the players have done so well to get our country this far."
