In an interview with David Ampofo on “Time with David”, the Mrs Amissah-Arthur narrated events leading to the demise of her husband.
According to Mrs Amissah-Arthur, the former vice president was about finishing his regular training at the Airforce gym when he collapsed on the cross-trainer.
Explaining what happened the morning her husband passed, Mrs. Amissah-Arthur said “On Friday 29th June 2018, we got to the Airforce gym at 4.30 am, we did our exercises. We were almost through, he went on the cross-trainer being the last exercise that he would do and then he collapsed”.
The former lady added that a doctor at the gym, Dr. Naa Tagoe rushed to resuscitate him before a decision was taken to take him to the hospital.
Mrs Amissah-Arthur further added that the former vice president was still alive and in a stable condition throughout the trip to the hospital.
