Ecobank Ghana Limited has commissioned three ultra modern branches at South Industrial Area (Agbogloshie Market), Accra Mall and Spintex Road.
These branches take on the new group design premised to promote sales and present personal interaction between the customer and the bank allowing customers to experience uninterrupted true Ecobank customer service and hospitality at its best.
The branches are also equipped with self service terminals and ATMs in E-lobbies that make banking easy, convenient and accessible 24/7. The commissioning was performed by the Ecobank Group CEO, Mr. Arnold Ekpe.
Speaking to the press, Mr. Ekpe indicated that it was not a coincidence that Ecobank had opened three branches at a go. In 2006 Ecobank was the first company to be simultaneously listed on three stock exchanges in West Africa, namely the BRVM, the Ghana Stock Exchange and the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Present at the launch were the Chairman of the Ecobank Board, Mr. T. Mante, Head of Banking Supervision of the Bank of Ghana, Mr. D. Selormey, the Head of OTTR, Mr. P. Akinwuntan, the Group Head of Retail, Ms. J. Okorodudu, the Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana, Mr. S. Ashitey Adjei, senior executives and management of Ecobank as well as the press.
According to officials of Ecobank, the bank is positioned to become the dominant retail bank and the biggest bank in middle Africa.
"These three branches are examples of the many branches that are being rolled out across the country to enable the bank serve its customers better. By the end of the first quarter the bank is expected to roll out at least four more branches bringing the total branch network to 33."
The South Industrial Area Branch is located opposite the “Agbogbloshie Market”, this branch will offer first class banking services to the densely populated commercial area.
The Spintex Road Branch, strategically positioned directly opposite Kingdom Furniture and Rana Plaza, will provide unique banking services to the vibrant and fast growing community on the Spintex Road and surrounding areas.
Located within the Accra Shopping Mall, the biggest mall in the country, Ecobank Ghana Limited has taken advantage of this ideal location to provide services to the numerous shoppers and other commuters along the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange.
