Chief Executive Officer of I-ZAR Group, Rashida Saani Nasamu has been adjudged the First Among Equals Award at the 2019 edition of Forty Under 40 Awards.
This was after she had won the People’s Choice award as the most voted under 40 Female Chief Executive of the year.
The feat chalked by the strategic communications consultant, is based on her hard work to impact positively on lives of the young people across the country.
The prestigious award ceremony held at the Kempinksi Gold Coast City Hotel, saw about 47 entrepreneurs being awarded for their contributions towards Ghana’s development.
An elated Rashida dedicated her award to the youth who are struggling out there and encouraged them to change the narrative since they are the ones to change the world.
“They said that the average lifespan for a business is 4 years. I want to believe that the narrative is gradually changing with the emergence of young people like us. Tonight, I would like to say this is a special dedication to all young people and especially women out there who are hustling.”
I-ZAR Group is a multi-faceted company with affiliates in strategic communication consultancy (I-ZAR Ltd), real estate and construction (I-ZAR Homes) and social enterprise (RAWW Ltd, BOYA Initiative).
On his part, Minister for Business Development, Ibrahim Mohammed Awal announced that plans were far advanced to create a GHS 200 million fund to support entrepreneurs in the country.
He commended organisers of the event adding that his Ministry will be an official partner of the awards ceremony.The Forty Under 40 is an award scheme aimed at identifying, honouring and celebrating the nation’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of forty. The scheme targets entrepreneurs, CEOs, Co-Founders and COOs.
