A taxi has injured 13 people, including a 71-year-old, after running his vehicle into the funeral grounds in Krabonso, in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East Region.
The injured, according to Bono East and Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong, are on admission at the Kintampo Municipal Government Hospital in very critical condition.
The incident occurred on September 28, when the funeral-goers were mourning in front of the community’s chief palace.
The driver, Akwasi Oti, aged 28, has been arrested and the vehicle has been impounded by the Kintampo Police.
