Ghana and Olympique Marseille forward Jordan Ayew is set to complete a January move to Sochaux, reports French daily L’Equipe.
The talented footballer has been in talks with les Lionceaux over the last couple of weeks and it appears he has agreed to join their ranks on a six-month loan deal.
And with Marseille having sanctioned the move, the transfer is set to be made official in the coming days.
The deal does not involve a purchase option seeing as how OM chiefs still see Ayew as a hot prospect for the future, but they believe regular playing time will do him a world of good.
Jordan Ayew has made no less than 16 Ligue 1 appearances this term, but only started 7 of those matches, scoring one goal in the process.
The 22-year-old should enjoy regular playing time at Stade Auguste-Bonal and is hoping to help Herve Renard’s side improve their scoring record and avoid relegation to Ligue 2.
