Two philanthropists on Thursday presented assorted items and money to NADMO for the flood disaster victims in the three northern regions.
Ms Doris Cudjoe, Public Relations Officer of the Etherean Mission Church in Accra presented 300 Ghana cedis cash and 100 Ghana cedis worth of assorted goods whilst Mr Adam Zakariah President of the University of Ghana Medical Students Associations presented assorted goods worth 800 Ghana cedis.
The donors said the presentations were in response to the national call to assist the flood victims and improve their conditions, which they described as no fault of theirs.
The Acting National Co-ordinator of NADMO, Deputy Commissioner of Police Douglas Akrofi Asiedu (Rtd) who received the items on behalf of the inter ministerial task force commended the two philanthropists for their gesture and said the items would be transported to the flood victims.
He noted that the response received by NADMO from the general public had been overwhelming and commended all those who had donated in bringing smiles back on the faces of the victims.
