Over 1,000 kilometres of feeder roads would be given a face-lift throughout the country next year.
Five 15-kilometre roads in each of the 166 districts would be constructed and tarred.
Mr. Stephen Balado Manu, Member of Parliament for the Ahafo-Ano South, said this at the fourth ordinary meeting of the assembly on Monday.
He said other areas include the provision of the five communities in each district with electricity and potable water and that they were designed as poverty reduction strategies.
Mr Manu said long-term loans would be given to cocoa, cashew, citrus and other cash crop farmers within six months to expand their farms.
He appealed to the people to honour their tax obligations, and the "talk time taxes" on mobile phones could enable the government to generate funds to support the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP).
