President Akufo-Addo has referred the allegations of conflict of interest against the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) CEO by a freelance investigative journalist to the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).
Manasseh Azure Awuni’s allegations of potential acts of corruption against Adjenim Boateng Adjei in his ‘Contract for Sale’ documentary have also been referred to the Office of Special Prosecutor, by the President for their prompt action.
The documentary revealed that Talent Discovery Limited (TDL), a company incorporated in June 2017 with Mr Adjei as the largest shareholder, has won a number of government contracts through restrictive tendering.
The journalist also confirmed that the company was engaged in selling contracts.
Undercover encounters with the General Manager of the Company, Thomas Amoah, revealed that the company was selling a ¢22.3 million road contract to K-Drah Enterprise, a fake company Manasseh used for the investigation.
