Ex-Ghana Premier League top scorer Emmanuel Baffuor is on the verge of joining the former CAF Champions League runners-up as replacement for striker Yakubu Mohammed, who moved to Maritzburg during the summer.
“Emmanuel Baffour is on medicals at Ashantigold at the moment. The attacking department is our problem and this led to our decision to bring in Emmanuel Baffour," AshGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo told Asempa FM Sports.
Baffour was the top scorer in the Ghana league for the 2011-12 season with 21 goals for New Edubiase.
He made a $400,000 move to PSL Side Mamelodi Sundowns but failed to impress making only two appearances and was subsequently shown the exit.
