UT Bank Ghana Limited has announced a 60,000 cedis season-long sponsorship package for Amidaus Professionals FC, Tuesday morning.
The payment for the sponsorship will be in two tranches and it is to support the Tema based team to further improve operations in the ongoing Ghana Premier League which is currently without a headline sponsor.
The financial institution will now become the official sponsor of the club, which then enjoins the club to use the Bank's logo in all their apparels including paraphernalia.
The package is expected to financially support the Tema based club reeling under a sponsorless league.
Chief Executive of UT, Kofi Amoabeng who presented the cheque to the Club said he is ready to assist the club anytime and commended the team for their performance last season.
“With this partnership whatever you do on or off the field can positively or negatively impact our brands, so behave in a manner that upholds our mutual reputation.” He told JOY Sports.
President of the club, Baba Gedo Gambo expressed his deep appreciation to the Bank for their support which he believes has come at the right time particularly when most teams are struggling financially because of lack of funds both from sponsors and gate proceeds.
The 60,000 cedis is an improved package for Amidaus. The bank last season announced a three month sponsorship deal of GHC 30,000. The Club placed 11th on the league table out of 30 matches.
