Rapper Kwaw Kese says he does not regret auctioning his award plaques in a wheelbarrow on the red carpet of the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
According to him, although the awards were given to him by VGMA, they are his, earned with his songs.
“When the people are banging to the song, that’s my award I don’t regret anything,” he wrote on Twitter.
Kwaw Kesse, appeared at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with a wheelbarrow containing plaques of all awards he had ever won from the award scheme.
The rapper and his wheelbarrow which was labelled ‘AWARDS FOR SALE,’ caught the attention of people at the foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre.
However, after the incident, Kwaw Kese missed out on nominations for the 2018 and 2019 editions of the VGMA.
Although there has not been an explanation from organisers for the apparent snub, some people believe the artiste may have brought this upon himself.
