In recognition of its outstanding contribution to the economic development of the Ashanti Region, Golden Bean Hotel has been honoured with a gold award at the 16th Ashanti Business Excellence Awards (ABEA).
At this year’s ABEA ceremony which took place on Friday, July 26, 2019, in Kumasi, the hotel was adjudged best in tourism/hospitality category in the Kumasi metropolis.
Organised under the auspices of the Manhyia Palace and in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, the event saw individuals and corporate entities receive various awards for their excellent services offered both within and outside the Ashanti region.
Present to receive the Golden Bean Hotel award were top Executives of the hotel including Mr Melchizedek Owusu Boakye, Sales & Marketing Manager, Mrs Sarah Laryea, Front Office Manager and Mr Raymond Tetteh, Food & Beverage Manager.
Speaking after the awards ceremony, Mr Francis Alley Deyegbe, General Manager of the Golden Bean Hotel described the honour as motivation to work harder to maintain its quality services. He thanked the organizers for acknowledging hard work in the region which he believed has the impetus for economic development.
Mr Deyegbe dedicated the award to cherished clients and hardworking staff recalling that since the hotel’s establishment in 2014, it has soared rapidly becoming the best 3 Star hotel in the region living up to its tagline ‘hospitality beyond expectation’.

Notable awards the hotel has received over the years includes: Three Star Hotel of the Year, Ashanti Region; Gold Award (Hospitality), 8th Ghana Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards; Outstanding Hotel of the Year; Achievers Awards awarded by the West African Regional Magazine; Fastest Growing Hotel of the Year by Cenba Business Excellence Awards; Three Star Hotel of the Year; National Tourism Awards by Ghana Tourism Authority; and Three Star Hotel of the Year at the Ashanti Regional Awards this year.
