Winfred Zaha’s 76th-minute strike earned the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire a spot in the quarterfinal of the AFCON 2019.
The Ivorians edged out Mali in a West African contest of the penultimate round of 16 matches played Monday, at Suez in Egypt.
The talented Mali lads had a good foothold of the ball and enjoyed a greater percentage of the game.
They were, however, unlucky to make their chances count when it mattered most.
Cote d’Ivoire will play Algeria at the quarterfinal stage.
