When telecom giant Vodafone Ghana revamped its ‘My Vodafone App’ (MVA) in line with its ‘digital-first’ aspiration to better serve its customers and be a market notable, many weren’t sure what they could expect.
But the change made to its unique mobile app to enhance the way it engages with customers has proved to be a timely intervention. The app is a very modern and interactive consumer app offering convenience to customers.
Kwame Frimpong, who is a National Service personnel notes the My Vodafone App being a self-care mobile application enables him to have access to unlimited Vodafone services without having to go to a physical shop.
For writer Bridget Boakye, the integration of Vodafone Cash to the App was a genius move from the company as she can now send money, top up her account and see the last few transactions she’s undertaken adding “any concerns I have are also given a quick response by ToBi.”
ToBi also helps reduce call volumes to the experience centre. While I have downloaded a few of these apps, ‘My Vodafone App’ stands out for its interactive function.
ToBi, a virtual assistant chatbot the company introduced to assist customers on products and services to opt for as well as take enquiries have been hailed by users especially for its 24-hour a day availability.
In another cool move, Vodafone Ghana offers free 1GB data to first-time users of ‘My Vodafone App.’ Folks can just visit smartphone download stores-either Google Play Store or the Apple Store and download the ‘My Vodafone App’ to have the free 1GB data and start making moves.
Aside from the free data, users will find that there are more rewards such as data and voice minutes as well as special prizes through weekly and monthly promotions.
And oh, there’s also a Store Locator –an inbuilt map within the new MVA which enables customers who want to visit the nearest Vodafone retail shop to do so without breaking a sweat.
The Vodafone Cash thankfully also allows Vodafone customers to carry out cash transfers and payments across all local networks and banks with astonishing ease right from the app.
For those who lack the time to watch Vodafone’s Healthline programme on TV, they needn’t worry as customers can access Vodafone’s media content including the award-winning show right on their phones through the app.
