Almost 400 pints of blood were collected at the 2007 Joy FM blood donation exercise.
The event which took place at the Aviation Social Centre started at 8:00 am. Many volunteers came to donate blood to support the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital and the 37 Military Hospital Blood Banks.
The annual event is organised by Joy FM as part of its corporate social responsibility in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service.
Some of the donors Joy News spoke to, were happy to donate blood to save lives. They were also grateful to Joy FM for the opportunity to do so.
