So you want to hide an image on an iPhone? You don't want to delete it; you just don't want anyone else seeing it?
Maybe you're going to have a great shot of the kids framed as an anniversary gift for the wife, or you took an image of the secret birthday gift list for your husband.
Whatever your reasons for wanting to hide photos on your iPhone may be, that's your concern. My concern is showing you three ways to do it.
How to hide pictures on iPhone with the Photos app
This method is quick and easy, but it won't keep someone from finding an image if they have access to your phone (meaning they know the password or you open it for them) and a bit of iPhone savvy, but it will keep most people from ever finding the picture (or video).
1. Launch the Photos app and open the image to be hidden, or select multiple images to be hidden.
2. Tap the Share icon, which looks like a box with an arrow sticking up out of it.
3. On the bottom taskbar, scroll to the right until you see the icon of a rectangle with a slash above the word "Hide," then tap Hide.

4. Tap "Hide Photo" (or Photos) to confirm.
The photos are now removed from your main album and stashed in an album called... "Hidden." To access them, from the photo app's main screen, scroll all the way down. Under "Other Albums" you'll find the stash under "Hidden."

How to password protect pictures on iPhone using the Notes app
Want your pictures, videos, or other media password protected? Use Notes.
1. Open the image to be secured, then tap the Share icon.
2. From the middle taskbar, tap "Add to Notes" and then hit "Save."
3. Launch the Notes app, then open the note with the image.
4. Tap the Share icon in the top right.

5. On the bottom taskbar, scroll to the "Lock Note" icon and tap it.

If this is the first note you have locked, create a password and hint, then hit "Done." When you tap the lock icon that's now appeared in the top right, your note will disappear, and you'll have to tap "View Note" and enter your password to see it. Don't forget to delete the photo from the Photos app!

How to use a text message to hide a photo on your iPhone
If you don't want someone finding an image in your photo app and you think they might look in Notes (or another photo app you have downloaded), send yourself the photo or note via text message, then delete it from your photos. Unless someone snoops through your texts, your image will be accessible but hard for others to find.
