The Headmistress of the school, Mrs Afua Dake stated that previously the students were facing challenges with the old school field, which was natural grass. According to her, after student were done playing on the field, most of them could be seen with bruises on their skin and others too had their uniforms dirty due to the nature of the field.
She said due to this, most of the students were compelled to quit partaking in sporting activities in the school and this had affected the school's performance in sports.
Mrs Dake indicated that with the construction of this artificial turf, she was convinced that such challenges were going to be avoided due to the bouncy and dust free nature of the field.
