Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale believes strongly that Patapaa is churning out the kind of songs that Ghanaians really want to listen to him.
According to him, Ghanaians are not ready to listen to good music but only nonsense and Patapaa, who is based in Swedru, is doing just that.
Wading into the #Skopatumana challenge that has taken social media by storm following Patapaa’s rap lies in Kawoula Biov’s song ‘Daavi Neba’, Shatta Wale revealed that his favourite musician currently is the Swedru-based artiste.

He stressed that “Patapaa has found out that this industry doesn’t want any good thing. They just want nonsense.”

“People don’t want to listen to music,” Shatta Wale said and added that, “Patapaa has found the key to this industry and if Ghana doesn’t take care, he will infest this industry with some virus it will be hard for Isaac Newton and Dr Duncan to come and repair it.”
While he does not rule out the possibility of recording a song with Patapaa, the controversial musician observed that “Patapaa is taking advantage of the industry, he is smart. Nobody should doubt that guy… he is singing something that the industry needs and the industry is not ready to listen to good music…”
“Right now I am sure he is recording another thing. It will be very wicked and I will be on it,” he added.
