Dr Arthur Kennedy, one of the aspiring candidates for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential slot for Election 2008 has stated that he would ensure that Ministers and District Chief Executives (DCEs) were elected when he became the president.
He made the statement when he met party delegates from the Upper East Region in Bolgatanga on Wednesday to solicit for their votes during the Party’s congress slated for December 22, 2007.
He explained that when Ministers and DCEs were elected it would make them more accountable and responsible to the people and accelerate development.
Dr Kennedy also pointed out that he would ensure that his administration empowered people economically through micro credits and would help contractors with equipment to undertake projects.
He indicated that he would also improve the sanitation situation in the country to ensure that people lived under healthy conditions.
He explained that he cherished recognition and compassion and would help Ghanaians to acquire better living standards.
Dr Kennedy impressed upon party delegates to vote him as the flag bearer of the NPP to enable the party recapture power in 2008.
“I have all that it takes to lead the party to victory. I have the managerial and administrative skills to rule the country to perfection”, he stated.
