The Volta Regional Minister, Mr Kofi Dzamesi is asking political office holders in the region not to hesitate to address the few people who would be punctual at functions rather than hold them to ransom in waiting for late comers.
Speaking during Peoples Assembly sessions in Kadjebi and Kpando, he said public functions in the Volta region would from this year start and end on schedule and asked officials to set the pace by acting on time.
To demonstrate his seriousness, Mr Dzamesi on Wednesday broke protocol and drove to the forecourt of the Kpando District Assembly from Ho to begin addressing the few chiefs and people who had assembled there long before others streamed in to fill the vacant seats.
He said it was unjustifiable and discourteous to keep people, especially Chiefs waiting for those who did not seem to place any value on time.
