JoyBusiness’ Ebenezer Sabutey has been shortlisted for the Best Energy Reporter of the Year Award by the Ghana Energy Awards.
Ebenezer Sabutey was shortlisted for his outstanding performance in reporting on issues of the energy sector and the impact on society.
The awards endorsed by the World Energy Council and the Ministry of Energy aims at recognizing the achievements, efforts and innovation of corporate entities and individuals within the energy sector.
It is also to celebrate the tremendous work of the players in the industry competing in various categories of the awards.
Among some of those shortlisted for the awards includes the Chief Executive of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors, Chief Executives of Tullow, Kosmos Energy and other players in both the upstream and downstream petroleum sector.
He is among other media practitioners selected for the award which comes up November 30th at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The Energy Awards has 19 categories for the various sub-sectors - petroleum, power, renewable, quality services and products, community engagement as well as compliance with industry regulations.
