Ecobank Ghana has presented a seed fund of ¢10,000 to the Ghana Red Cross Society as it partnered the organization in the launch of its digital fund-raising campaign.

This partnership will see Ecobank grant the Red Cross its digital platform for donations to be made to save lives.

Executive Director in charge of legal, HR and Compliance at Ecobank, Morgan Fianko Asiedu said, “It’s something that we find very exciting because Ecobank is at the forefront of digital banking and financial inclusion through the digital platform.

Since we care for the needy, we care to reach out to all. This campaign is riding on the Ecobank digital platform to raise needed funds for the Ghana Red Cross Society to carry out its mandate in a sustainable manner,” he said.

Meanwhile, President of the Ghana Red Cross, Dr Michael Agyekum Addo is confident the platform will give them the needed funding to embark on life-saving engagements.
