A 65-year-old woman, Mad. Dora Mansa has been shot by an unknown assailant as she sat relaxing in her porch.
The incident happened in Kumasi.
The woman was said to be relaxing in her home at Ahomansu on Tuesday night when she was shot at by someone who is yet to be identified.
Solomon Acquah, a son of the victim told Joy News that several pellets entered the right side of her body and her arm, thigh and abdomen have been injured.
Meanwhile, she is on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
Solomon has also said all the pellets have been removed and the mother is responding to treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
The Kumasi Police have launched full scale investigations into the incident.
