For the first time, the Volta Trade and Investment Fair which serves as a springboard to promote indigenous businesses, would have an African representation.
The secretariat has confirmed that businesses and dignitaries from six African countries would participate in the 6th edition of the fair, scheduled between 26th November 2023 and 10th December 2023.
Representatives from Congo, Namibia, Togo, Benin, Kenya, and Nigeria are expected to pitch camp, with other businesses from across Ghana, at the Jubilee Park in Ho for the Fair.
This resonates with the theme for this year’s Fair, “Leveraging the African Continental Free Trade Area for Economic Development."
The foreign nationals would display an array of locally produced beverages and food items including tea, milk, coffee, and other products.
Exhibitors from Togo and Benin would bring a full representation of their culture and traditions, showcasing authentic clothing and artifacts from various ethnic groups in their home countries.
A Kenyan firm, vested in producing durable car batteries would also use the fair as a catalyst to introduce its products to the markets in the region.
The Volta Trade and Investment Fair is expected to host about 200 foreign and local exhibitors which would display various items of mostly Ghanaian and African origin.
The items would include locally produced beverages, cosmetics, food, clothing, footwear, artifacts, furniture, vehicles, Agri inputs, and among others.
Entities such as hospitality centers, real estate companies, health, and educational institutions would also exhibit their services at the Fair.
