A few have also travelled across to the Upper East Regional capital, Bolgatanga, after managing to escape from the attacks that swept through Bawku.
The Bawku Municipal Information Officer of the Information services Department, Mr James Doegbetor, said that though calm has been restored after the voilent clashes that occured in the area, there was an urgent need for the seurity officials and agencies fo sharpen their surveillance, since the two groups that brought about the conflict, were planning more attacks on each other.
