There are credible indications that questions are being asked on the educational qualifications of 49 officers of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS).
This has led to a situation in which regional commanders in all the regions have been asked to furnish the headquarters of GIS, photocopies of their birth and school certificates of the 49 officers spread through out the country.
There are reports majority of the 49 (names withheld for now) sought employment with fake certificates. Should those allegations be verified, they are likely to be dismissed and prosecuted.
