Forty staff of Marie Noelle Spa who underwent a comprehensive three-month training programme in Competency-Based Training in Permanent Makeup, Business Management and Digital Skills have graduated in a ceremony, held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
The CEO of Marie Noelle Spa, Marie Noelle Yakubu said the training, aimed at equipping her staff with the latest skills and knowledge to excel in the beauty and wellness industry in Ghana, is a major milestone.
The programme, funded by the Ghana Skills Development Fund (GSDF), was borne out of Marie Noelle Spa and Salon Management's commitment to continuous improvement and staff development.
Recognizing skill gaps in technical expertise, business acumen, and digital integration, the salon partnered with the renowned Arts and Skills Technology Institute (ASTI) to design a tailor-made training programme.
"Our goal was to empower our staff with the tools and knowledge they need to not only provide exceptional service but also contribute to the salon's growth and success," said Marie Noelle Yakubu, CEO of Marie Noelle Spa and Salon.
"We are grateful to the GSDF for their support and to ASTI for their expertise in delivering this invaluable training."
The President of the Arts and Skills Technology Institute, Rebecca Donkor stated that skills training is not just about imparting knowledge but about empowering individuals, particularly women and the youth, to create jobs and contribute to the growth of the economy.
Rebecca Donkor commended the GSDF for its continual backing of training projects like this which enables training institutions across the country to thrive and make a difference.
She said the management of Marie Noelle Spa and Salon entrusted them with the company’s greatest asset, which is their staff, and not only honed participants’ skills, but ignited their entrepreneurial spirit, empowered their artistic voices, and equipped them with digital knowledge to navigate the ever-evolving beauty landscape.
The intensive programme covered a wide range of topics, including, permanent makeup, theory and practical sessions that delved into various aspects such as brow techniques, lip liner, lash techniques, ombre and micro blading techniques all aimed at equipping participants with the skills to offer unique services to meet dynamic demands of today’s clients.
Concerning business management and digital skills, participants honed their entrepreneurial skills in new service development, marketing, and learning to leverage digital technologies for enhanced salon operations and client engagement.
This programme will not only benefit the salon and its staff but also contribute to the broader goal of building a skilled and competitive workforce in Ghana.
With their newly acquired skills and knowledge, the graduates of Marie Noelle Spa and Salon are now poised to play a vital role in the salon's future success.
