Asante Kotoko are determined to return to winning ways after their midweek stumble, as they face Heart of Lions at the Len Clay Stadium in week nine of the Ghana Premier League.
Prosper Narteh Ogum’s side suffered a painful 2-1 defeat to Legon Cities on Wednesday, which not only gave their opponents their first win of the season but also denied them the chance to top the table.
Despite the setback, the Porcupines still sit second, three points adrift of leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
With Medeama close on their heels, Sunday’s clash against Lions is a must-win.
The visitors, though not in the best form with only two wins this season, occupy the 7th spot in the standings.
However, the Kpando-based side could be a potential banana skin for Kotoko, especially under the guidance of their veteran trainer Bashir Hayford.
