A 22-year-old hotel attendant has allegedly been killed by a hit-and-run driver at Sefwi Atronsu in the Bibiani Anhwianso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.
Eyewitnesses told Adom News that the unfortunate incident occurred when the deceased, Regina Anarfi was crashed on the Atronsu- Bibiani highway after she had closed from work around 6:50pm on Monday, May 17.
Confirming the news, the Sefwi Bekwai District Police Command said the family of the deceased later that day, reported that an unknown vehicle had crashed two persons but one survived.
However, their relative, Miss Anarfi, alias Maame Baa couldn’t survive the accident. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the nearest hospital.
Residents who were at the scene of the accident could not identify the driver but the police have assured the family and the public that they will leave no stone unturned in their quest to discover the whereabouts of the driver who allegedly committed the crime.
The body of Miss Anarfi has since been deposited at Sefwi Anhwianso Mortuary for preservation.
Meanwhile, the other victim of the crash who survived has been identified as Nana Yaw, a security attendant at the hotel.
