Police have arrested 21 persons in Nkwanta of the Oti Region for breaking curfew protocols.
The Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery imposed a dawn-to-dusk curfew on Nkwanta and neighbouring communities on November 21, 2023, after clashes in the area that led to the killing of at least twelve persons.
Just yesterday, another person was shot dead and four others sustained varied degrees of gunshot injuries and separate attacks in renewed clashes in the area.
The four were among some 25 head-porters who were attacked by unknown assailants who were loading a truck with bags of gari in Odomi Challa.
