The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of The Multimedia Group, Ken Ansah, has extended an invitation to CEOs from various organisations to participate in this year's JoySports Invitational Tournament, an event that promises to be a unique blend of competition, networking, and brand promotion.
Speaking during the launch of the tournament scheduld for October 26 at the University of Ghana Stadium, he singled out Ernest, a prominent figure in the CEOs Network, as his first invitee. "First of all, we have Ernest of the CEOs Network. He has this beautiful community of CEOs where a lot of conversations go on, so Ernest will be the first I will invite," he said.
He added humorously, "I don’t know whether he has a team, but as CEO of CEOs, he definitely should be in there to compete."
Mr Ansah continued by naming several other high-profile CEOs expected to join the tournament.
"But beyond him, there are a number of CEOs; we have two great CEOs here already [Adolf Adjei of Sapholda Ventures and Stephen Eku of Emigoh Ghana, Producer of Yomi Yorghut]."
He also extended an invitation to Kofi Adomako of GCB Bank and Mansa Nettey of Standard Chartered Bank, with a playful note about Nettey's potential preparation for the tournament: "I know Mansa is always on the quiet, but you wouldn’t know what she has up her sleeves—she might just go to Anfield to train for the CEOs penalty shootout, but we will see on the day."
Other notable names included Henry Enwuzeribo of Zenith Bank, Rev Daniel Asiedu of OmniBSIC Bank, Ashok of Poly Group, and Dr Daniel McKorley of McDan Group.
Reflecting on McKorley’s previous participation, Ansah added, "Dr McKorley came to the last competition on a motorbike, and I won’t be surprised if he comes this time around on a horse."
The COO also extended invitations to Chris of Unilever, Nestlé, and Absa Bank, emphasising that the event is not just about competition but also about fostering connections among corporate leaders.
"This event is about networking—the psychological effect and impact of getting corporates together, promoting their brands, and, of course, the bragging rights. You can’t do without that."
The JoySports Invitational Tournament is expected to bring together corporate teams from various sectors to compete, network, and promote their brands in a highly anticipated sporting event.
They will be competing in eight events, ranging from football to mixed volley ball, CEOs, penalty shootout, and more.
