Mawuli Wayo continued his impressive season with the match winner for Hearts of Oak against Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The decisive goal of the game came in the second half, when Wayo pounced on a loose ball, headed it past Zakaria Fuseini, before poking past Chelsea goalkeeper Gregory Obeng Sekyere.
Sunday's win means the Phobians have won every league game against Samuel Boadu, since the former Hearts coach joined Chelsea.
Boadu's first meeting with Hearts as Chelsea coach ended in a three nil defeat at Berekum when Hamza Issah, Kassim Cisse and Linda Mtange scored on 8th May, 2024.
Five days before Christmas 2024, Hearts repeated the dose again with a 3-1 win, this time, with goals from Yussif Ramzy, Kwabena Bioateng and Hamza Issah.
Despite the win on Sunday, Hearts remain in 5th place with 49 points, five fewer than rivals Asante Kotoko who are currently 4th on the log.
Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea are 10th with 4 points, seven points above the drop zone and are effectively safe from relegation.
Hearts next league match will be at home to Accra Lions, while Chelsea travel to the capital to face Dreams F.C
