Karela United FC will face Accra Lions at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex on Sunday in a crucial Premier League clash, with both teams desperate for points.
Karela United, based in Tamale, have struggled so far this season, suffering two consecutive defeats.
They lost 1-0 at home to Asante Kotoko and repeated the same scoreline away to Berekum Chelsea.
With no points from their first two games, they will be hoping to secure their first win of the season on home soil.
Accra Lions have also had a difficult start to the season, losing 2-0 at home to Vision FC and 1-0 away to Medeama SC.
Despite these setbacks, they were the fourth-best away team in the league last season and will be aiming to improve their form in this fixture.
Karela United and Accra Lions have faced each other three times at Karela’s home ground since the 2020/21 season.
Abubakar Damba's boys won 3-0 in the 2021/22 season, lost 2-1 in 2022/23, and drew 1-1 in the 2023/24 season.
Kick-off is set for 15:00 GMT (3 pm local time).
