Ghanaian artiste, Camidoh narrowly missed out on the 2023 BET Viewers Choice: Best New International Act award.
The award was clinched by the Cameroonian singer/songwriter Libianca.
The 'Sugarcane' hitmaker was nominated alongside Asake, FLO, Libianca, Maureen, MC Ryan SP, Paris Cooper, Raye, and Werenoi.
Nevertheless, Camido’s nomination itself served as a testament to his growing influence and recognition on an international scale.
Despite the outcome for Camidoh, West Africa had a strong representation at the renowned international award ceremony.
Fellow Nigerian singer Davido also thrilled the audience with an electrifying performance on Sunday night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
In videos making the rounds, The OBO crooner performed a medley of his hit songs ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable’ from his latest album, ‘Timeless’.
The DMW Boss’ scintillating performance had the audience bouncing and streaming
His performance made him the second Nigerian artiste to perform at “Culture’s Biggest Night” after Fireboy DML who performed last year, riding on the wave of ‘Peru’.
