Organisers of the annual all-female worship show 'Women In Worship' have announced the date of this year's much-anticipated edition.
The launch ceremony held at the Teshie Orphanage on Tuesday August 4, was witnessed by the CEO of Genet Services accompanied by a representative from Btl Africa and some veteran minstrels; Stella Aba Steal and Tagoe Sisters.
Some items were donated to the orphanage home as part of the ceremony.
Addressing the press present at the event, Mrs Georgina Nettey outlined activities and laid down preparations towards this year’s event, announcing that this year’s edition themed “Alpha & Omega” (Run by the Holy Spirit, God is the beginning and the end), would be a Semi-Virtual Experience.
"This year’s worship experience seeks to celebrate the hard work of gospel minstrels who have contributed to the gospel industry with dignified music and Christian morals over the decades, hence the motto, “The Honouring And Timeless Experience”, she stated.
"Embellishing our Honouring and Timeless night with you will be Bernice Offei, Amy Amber Newman, Mary Ghansah, Diana Hopeson, Stella Aba Seal, Hannah Marfo, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Helena Rabbles, Tiwa of Yaw Sarpong fame, Esther Nyamekye and Mama Esther," she added.
Disclosing activities around the event, Mrs Nettey hinted on giving the veterans a drive-in experience sponsored by partners Automobile Company, a Royal Couch red carpet experience, a video documentary on their life and music journey as well as holiday treats, spa and beauty makeovers.
The semi-virtual experience would be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at 4 pm via the Women in Worship online platform and other selected media platforms. There will be limited tickets available for purchase.
